Alberobello to Lecce Apuglia Bike Tour
From ancient trulli villages to turquoise coastlines and olive-studded hills, this Southern Italy bike tour takes you deep into the heart of Puglia — where Greek myths, Baroque cities, and Mediterranean flavors collide.
Pedal through both the Adriatic and Ionian coastlines, explore UNESCO-listed towns like Alberobello and Otranto, and relax in stunning masserie (fortified countryside estates turned boutique hotels). You’ll savor traditional orecchiette pasta, seafood feasts, and Puglia’s renowned olive oils and wines — all while cycling quiet backroads framed by fig trees, whitewashed homes, and limestone cliffs.
This is not just a bike trip. It’s an immersion into the rhythms, tastes, and traditions of Italy’s sun-drenched heel.
Bike Tour Itinerary
Pedal through both the Adriatic and Ionian coastlines, explore UNESCO-listed towns like Alberobello and Otranto, and relax in stunning masserie (fortified countryside estates turned boutique hotels).
We’ll meet you at Brindisi Airport and transfer to the magical town of Alberobello — home to over 1,500 iconic trulli and a UNESCO World Heritage site. After a relaxed lunch and bike fitting, we head out for our first ride past olive groves and sea views. Back at our rural inn, we’ll enjoy an olive oil tasting followed by dinner under the stars.
Cycle along the ridge road to the “White City” of Ostuni, with its maze of cobblestone alleys and medieval architecture. You’ll pass through Cisternino and enjoy views of the Adriatic before returning for another local feast at the inn.
After a shuttle to the Salento Peninsula, ride through ancestral olive groves, quiet vineyards, and along the coast to Otranto — a seaside town known for its breezy vibe, medieval cathedral, and vibrant nightlife. Choose your favorite trattoria for dinner.
Enjoy cliffside views, explore sea grottos like Zinzulusa, and reach the southernmost point of Puglia where the Adriatic and Ionian Seas meet. Lunch comes with a sea view, and your evening stay is just past the famous lighthouse of Leuca.
Pedal the Ionian coastline past hidden coves and lush countryside. If the sea calls, we might stop for a swim before cruising into the charming port town of Gallipoli.
Our last ride is to Lecce, “The Florence of the South,” very easy and flat.
where we’ll enjoy a guided walking tour through its Baroque heart. Browse artisan shops, sample street food, and gather for a final celebratory dinner in one of our favorite local restaurants
After breakfast, we’ll transfer you to Brindisi Airport — full of memories, photos, and maybe a few extra bottles of olive oil or wine.
