Bike Tour Itinerary
Tackle the legendary climbs of the Giro d’Italia with full support and unforgettable alpine scenery.
Meet your guides at Milan Malpensa Airport for a transfer to the charming mountain town of Bormio. After settling in, we’ll fit your bike and offer an optional warm-up ride to shake off the travel and get a feel for the terrain. Explore Bormio’s historic center, then join the group for a gourmet welcome dinner.
We kick things off with a bang: the legendary Passo dello Stelvio. From Bormio, it’s a 25 km climb to the summit — one of the most scenic and famous ascents in Europe. After descending to Prato allo Stelvio for lunch, we climb the Stelvio again from the other side. It’s a tough day, but one you’ll never forget.
Ride into Santa Caterina di Valfurva and begin your ascent of Passo Gavia — remote, wild, and magnificent. Then comes Mortirolo, often called the hardest climb of the Giro. Thick forests, punishing gradients, and the sense of history make it a rite of passage for serious cyclists.
A rolling start out of Bormio leads to the base of the Mortirolo. This is the infamous side — steep, relentless, and iconic. After celebrating at the summit, enjoy a well-earned descent before climbing back to Bormio. Expect a sense of achievement like no other.
Today we head into Switzerland! Ride through Livigno — a training base for pro cyclists — and up the scenic Umbrail Pass. We’ll loop back to Bormio via an exhilarating descent of Stelvio, adding another epic tick to your Dolomite résumé.
Your final ride is a beauty: up to the turquoise Cancano Lakes, set in a high plateau dotted with hairpin switchbacks and alpine views. Cap off the day with a scenic climb to Bormio 2000, a gondola-accessed ski area with incredible views — and coffee, of course.
After breakfast, we’ll transfer you to Milan Malpensa Airport. Time to say arrivederci — until the next adventure.
