Tuscany Gravel to Sea Bike Tour
From the rolling white roads of the Crete Senesi to the blue waters of the Tyrrhenian coast, the Tuscany Gravel to Sea Guided Bike Tour is a breathtaking 7-day adventure that connects Siena’s countryside to the wild beauty of the Maremma. Meet your guides at the hotel, enjoy a bike fitting and warm-up ride through the Crete Senesi countryside. Visit Castel Modanella and the medieval hamlet of Poggio Santa Cecilia. Relax at the spa and join the welcome dinner.
Ride from the thermal hills to Montalcino, one of Italy’s most famous wine towns. Cycle Eroica gravel roads through the Crete Senesi, enjoy a winery lunch, and descend back to Rapolano.
Pedal through UNESCO-listed Val d’Orcia to reach Pienza, the “perfect Renaissance town.” Stop for coffee or organic gelato before returning via the rolling Lauretana road.
Ride north through the Crete Senesi and Chianti hills toward Siena. Arrive at Piazza del Campo, the city’s heart and home of the Palio horse race.
A challenging but unforgettable day! Ride through oak forests and past San Galgano Abbey, then continue into the wild Maremma metalliferous hills to reach Massa Marittima. Enjoy a well-earned dinner and poolside relaxation.
The grand finale — ride through Montioni Natural Park to the coast at Follonica, take a swim in the sea, and cycle back inland. Farewell dinner in true Maremma style.
