Puglia Bike Tours

Our Puglia bike tours balance coastal breezes with inland charm, winding past ancient olive trees, historic trulli homes, and seaside villages where time slows down. Whether you’re a casual rider or a more seasoned cyclist, these Puglia bike trips offer something rare: low-traffic routes, farm-fresh cuisine, and a rhythm of life that makes every pedal stroke feel like a celebration.

With sun-drenched olive groves, whitewashed hill towns, turquoise coastlines, and roads that roll gently through centuries of culture — Puglia is a dream destination for cyclists seeking beauty, quiet, and flavor. Tucked in the heel of Italy’s boot and hugged by two seas, this southern gem offers some of the country’s most unique and undiscovered landscapes.

Why Bike Ride in Puglia?

Puglia is flat to gently rolling, making it one of the most accessible regions in Italy for bike travel. But don’t mistake ease for lack of excitement — every day here feels like a postcard. One day you’re cycling past centuries-old olive trees on the way to a medieval hill town, and the next you’re arriving at a white-sand beach just in time for a swim and a seafood lunch.

The region’s signature trulli homes (think: whitewashed stone huts with conical roofs) dot the landscape around Alberobello, while the Adriatic coast offers sea views and salty breezes. And with two coasts to explore, you’ll enjoy a blend of quiet inland routes and scenic seaside roads. Puglia bike tours are ideal for riders who want to explore southern Italy by day and savor it by night — with wine, laughter, and farm-to-table meals under the stars.

Two unforgettable days riding from Castello del Calcione to Florence with Luigi and Sara of Bike Riding Tuscany. Day one was gravel roads through the Tuscan hills with stunning views (~65 km, 1,000 m); day two upped the ante with singletrack through the woods and a descent into Florence (~65 km, 1,000 m). Luigi and Sara make it — warm, fluent in English, and local, so you ride with a steady stream of stories about the area. One guides while the other supports, then they swap, so you get to know both. Excellent e-MTBs, flawless logistics, and lunches at simple, authentic trattorias with great food. Perfect for fit, experienced riders — you don't need to be a technical specialist; they pitch it just right and look after you throughout. Grazie, Luigi and Sara — we'll be back! — Rutger & Krik

Luigi and Sara offer the best local knowledge and friendly service for bike tours in Tuscany. We hired gravel bikes for 4 days and were provided with great routes covering all the best bits. Nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended.

We have just returned home from a fantastic, self-guided gravel biking trip with Bikeriding Tuscany. We organised flights and transfers, Luigi and Sara at Bikeriding Tuscany organised a superb spa hotel (B&B) in Rapolano and provided four, customised one-day routes of 80-103k, plus Canyon Grizl gravel bike rental. Luigi and Sara provided an outstanding, friendly and caring service to ensure our trip was memorable and we could not have asked any more from them. I wholeheartedly recommend Bikeriding Tuscany and we plan to do another trip with them next year!

Goated bike rental. Luigi is the man. Super friendly, great advices and good vibes. Bike in tip top condition (2 Grizl, 2 Grails). Picked up the bikes in the morning, and brought them back in the evening. Smooth, efficient. Will go again if i need to rent a bike in the area.
