Sardinia Bike Tours

Sardinia is more than an island — it’s a world of mystery, rugged beauty, and ancient traditions that feel wonderfully frozen in time. Sardinians consider themselves Sardinian first, then Italian, and you feel that pride instantly. Their deep-rooted storytelling, music, and nomadic heritage live on through a vibrant dialect, centuries-old rituals, and festivals that burst with colour and life.

Sardinia captures the heart and soul of every traveller, especially those exploring Sardinia by bike. Meet the locals, share a laugh, taste something homemade, and you’ll quickly understand why this island leaves such a mark. It’s an unforgettable place to discover on two wheels, whether you’re drawn to scenic coastal riding or dreaming of mountain bike Sardinia adventures.

Why Bike Ride in Sardinia?

Cycling in Sardinia is pure pleasure. Smooth roads wind through hills, forests, and steep coastal stretches that open onto views so beautiful they’ll stop you mid-pedal. Ride inland and you’ll find almost no traffic at all — just shepherds tending their flocks, family farms, vineyards heavy with grapes, and rugged mountains that make every climb feel rewarding.

Exploring Sardinia by bike also means discovering tiny rural villages where time moves slowly and warmly. Maybe that’s the secret behind the island’s famous longevity. Between rides, you’ll taste simple, unforgettable dishes like porceddu (roast suckling pig), malloreddus, and culurgiones. Tear off a piece of crispy pane carasau, try fregola cooked the traditional way, and finish with sweet seadas — all paired with bold Cannonau or crisp Vermentino.

This is exactly why a. bike tour in Sardinia feel so magical: quiet roads, authentic culture, and meals that make every mile worth it.

Two unforgettable days riding from Castello del Calcione to Florence with Luigi and Sara of Bike Riding Tuscany. Day one was gravel roads through the Tuscan hills with stunning views (~65 km, 1,000 m); day two upped the ante with singletrack through the woods and a descent into Florence (~65 km, 1,000 m). Luigi and Sara make it — warm, fluent in English, and local, so you ride with a steady stream of stories about the area. One guides while the other supports, then they swap, so you get to know both. Excellent e-MTBs, flawless logistics, and lunches at simple, authentic trattorias with great food. Perfect for fit, experienced riders — you don't need to be a technical specialist; they pitch it just right and look after you throughout. Grazie, Luigi and Sara — we'll be back! — Rutger & Krik

We have just returned home from a fantastic, self-guided gravel biking trip with Bikeriding Tuscany. We organised flights and transfers, Luigi and Sara at Bikeriding Tuscany organised a superb spa hotel (B&B) in Rapolano and provided four, customised one-day routes of 80-103k, plus Canyon Grizl gravel bike rental. Luigi and Sara provided an outstanding, friendly and caring service to ensure our trip was memorable and we could not have asked any more from them. I wholeheartedly recommend Bikeriding Tuscany and we plan to do another trip with them next year!

Goated bike rental. Luigi is the man. Super friendly, great advices and good vibes. Bike in tip top condition (2 Grizl, 2 Grails). Picked up the bikes in the morning, and brought them back in the evening. Smooth, efficient. Will go again if i need to rent a bike in the area.
