Sicily Bike Tours

Sunshine, seaside roads, ancient ruins, and vibrant culture — Sicily is a sensory masterpiece best explored by bike. From the winding switchbacks of Mount Etna to breezy coastal routes lined with citrus groves, our Sicily bike tours offer an unforgettable way to discover Italy’s southern gem.

At Bikeriding Tuscany, we’ve crafted immersive Sicily bike trips that blend epic rides with authentic local flavor. Whether you’re an avid cyclist or a curious traveler looking for a new kind of adventure, a bike tour in Sicily delivers that rare balance of challenge, beauty, and indulgence.

Bike Ride in Sicily

Sicily is raw, wild, and totally alive. The island’s rugged terrain, sparkling coastlines, and rich cultural tapestry make it one of Italy’s most dynamic cycling destinations. Riding here means passing through ancient Greek temples, baroque towns, seaside villages, and vast olive orchards — all under the watchful eye of Europe’s most active volcano.

Each route is steeped in history and tradition. One day you’re tasting sweet Marsala wine in a coastal vineyard, the next you’re climbing through Etna’s lava-scarred landscape or riding past the mosaics of Piazza Armerina. And when the ride is done? A sunset aperitivo, a fresh seafood dinner, and a warm Sicilian welcome await.

Bike riding in Sicily connects you to the rhythms of island life — where the pace is slow, the food is bold, and the scenery is anything but ordinary.

Two unforgettable days riding from Castello del Calcione to Florence with Luigi and Sara of Bike Riding Tuscany. Day one was gravel roads through the Tuscan hills with stunning views (~65 km, 1,000 m); day two upped the ante with singletrack through the woods and a descent into Florence (~65 km, 1,000 m). Luigi and Sara make it — warm, fluent in English, and local, so you ride with a steady stream of stories about the area. One guides while the other supports, then they swap, so you get to know both. Excellent e-MTBs, flawless logistics, and lunches at simple, authentic trattorias with great food. Perfect for fit, experienced riders — you don't need to be a technical specialist; they pitch it just right and look after you throughout. Grazie, Luigi and Sara — we'll be back! — Rutger & Krik

Luigi and Sara offer the best local knowledge and friendly service for bike tours in Tuscany. We hired gravel bikes for 4 days and were provided with great routes covering all the best bits. Nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended.

We have just returned home from a fantastic, self-guided gravel biking trip with Bikeriding Tuscany. We organised flights and transfers, Luigi and Sara at Bikeriding Tuscany organised a superb spa hotel (B&B) in Rapolano and provided four, customised one-day routes of 80-103k, plus Canyon Grizl gravel bike rental. Luigi and Sara provided an outstanding, friendly and caring service to ensure our trip was memorable and we could not have asked any more from them. I wholeheartedly recommend Bikeriding Tuscany and we plan to do another trip with them next year!

Goated bike rental. Luigi is the man. Super friendly, great advices and good vibes. Bike in tip top condition (2 Grizl, 2 Grails). Picked up the bikes in the morning, and brought them back in the evening. Smooth, efficient. Will go again if i need to rent a bike in the area.
