Test on Sram Red eTap Gear.
I had the pleasure to ride on a Supersix Evo Hi-Mod Red Etap Cannondale in the beautiful country side of south Tuscany where I live.
4 full days of riding and testing the high-end bike: I explored Val D’orcia: Pienza Montalcino, Montepulciano, Chianti area: Gaiole, Castellina and all Crete Senesi around Rapolano: Asciano, San Giovanni d’Asso and Monte Oliveto Abbey.
Cannondale with sram eTap
I rode so many km in the famous undulating Tuscany hills, feeling like a child with a new toy to play with: a Sram electronic wireless shifting system.
I enjoyed a lot and it was a very GOOD experience. It was supposed to be simple and I confirm the shift is so easy to use.
You shift more with less effort and spend less time doing it and believe when you cycle on hills it is all time shifting!
Also I liked no cable and the bike looks very clean.
When I check the bikes before rental I usually test the sound of the gear, I use to say: gear works like a “violin” and in this case I can say electronic gear is like having a Stradivari violin!!!
The only issue is the price, still very expensive!
